Back in the fall, I reviewed a set of ND filters for the Hero 8 Black from Polar Pro, a nice quality set for those who needed ND filters. With the new form factor of the Hero 8 Black Polar Pro had to get a little creative on how to attach ND filters as the lens on this year’s GoPro was not removable and there was a very small lip on the new design meaning clip-on styles would no longer work either.  Polar Pro came up with a mount that clip over the top of the Hero 8 Black that had magnets built-in to allow you to easily swap out ND filters quickly and when needed.

This design worked well but unfortunately when using this ND filter system you were unable to mount your Hero 8 Black in any form of protective housing such as the WaterProof housing or the RollCage. Polar Pro decided to create a new set of ND filters that work specifically with the Hero 8 Black RollCage. To install these ND filters you just simply need to remove the existing lens protector then install the appropriate ND filter. With this new ND filter setup, you can still offer your GoPro some extra protection while getting the benefits of using ND filters.
