One thing I would love to see DJI do is to allow us to fly the DJI Avata with something like the DJI RC or DJI RC Pro. Being able to fly the Avata like a traditional drone and not always with the goggles in my opinion would be very beneficial. In this video, I am testing out a mount that allows you to mount a smartphone on the DJI FPV controller 2 giving you a similar alternative. It’s not a convenient setup as you still need to have the goggles powered on and plugged into your smartphone. It works well enough as a temporary solution for those who want to do a flight now and then while not wearing the goggles. Manual mode is definitely not recommended when flying like this.
