When the DJI Mavic 3 was first launched back in November one of the missing intelligent features was MasterShots. However, the latest firmware update for the Mavic 3 DJI has finally added MasterShots to their newest flagship drone. MasterShots was first introduced on the DJI Air 2S and is considered an intelligent flight mode as it can capture dynamic shots with just the press of a button. When initialed the drone will fly a predetermined route and capture popular drone shots that can be hard to capture manually. When done you are presented with a little edited clip set to music usually about 10 seconds in length but you also have to option to change the theme via the built-in editor to something that may suit you better. The original high-resolution full-length video file is also recorded to the drone’s memory card so you can go in and edit it yourself if you prefer. In this video tutorial, I go over all the steps of setting up a MasterShot with the DJI Mavic 3. At the time of publishing this article and video, some have reported problems with MasterShots on the Mavic 3. Camera wobble and camera shake is being reported during some of the maneuvers. I did indeed experience some mild shake in my tests and I will be coving this in more detail in a future video. I am sure this is just a firmware issue that DJI can get corrected quickly.
