I thought it would be fun to put together this video of the many new features and enhancements of the new DJI Mavic Air 2. I know from speaking with my subscribers that many first-time drone pilots who purchased the Mavic Mini are contemplating upgrading to the Mavic Air 2 and not sure if it’s worth the extra money. In this video, we go over 32 reasons why upgrading to the DJI Mavic Air 2 is a good idea. Now to be fair the Mavic Mini is an impressive little drone that is affordable yet powerful in its features so to keep things fair I also offer a few reasons why you may want to stick with the Mavic Mini. Please Note: I made a little mistake in the video, the Mavic Mini indeed does support upward gimbal rotation.
A bonus reason that I did not include in the video is a more accurate “return to home” landing. The DJI Mavic Mini does a good job of coming home when you initiate a “Return To Home” and lands in the general location within a few feet. However, the precision landing is really impressive on the Mavic Air 2 as in my testing it always landed within inches of the take-off location.
